First description of the maleArhytinus irideus Jedlicka, 1936 (Coleoptera: Carabidae: Platynini), a rare Ground Beetle in Mindanao, the Philippines

The first male and second know specimen of Arhytinus irideus found in Mindanao. For the first time precise distribution is reported, and its genitalia is illustrated. The similarities between A. irideus and its closely related species A. nitidipennis Baehr, 2010 are further discussed.
