Four new species of the genus Homalocyrtus Heller, 1912 (Entiminae: Pachyrhynchini) from the Mindanao, Dinagat and Siquijor Islands, Philippines are described and illustrated: H. cabrasae sp. nov. (Siquijor Island), H. glendae sp. nov. (Dinagat Island), H. azureomaculatus sp. nov. (Mindanao Island), H. bukidnonensis sp. nov. (Mindanao Island). The description is accompanied by a brief account of the habitat and ecological observations relevant to the species. A checklist of the genus with general notes and type photographs is included.

Three new species of the genus Metapocyrtus Heller, 1912 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Entiminae: Pachyrhynchini) from Negros Island, Philippines are described and illustrated: Metapocyrtus (Dolichocephalocyrtus) chloroglosus sp. nov., Metapocyrtus (Dolichocephalocyrtus) agryoglosus sp. nov., Metapocyrtus (Trachycyrtus) chlorominimus sp. nov. Paper includes photographic material of species fauna of Negros Island. Diversity of M. (M.) pilositibialis Schultze, 1925 is discussed.

The two new species Viridagonum azureoviride n. sp. from Mindanao, and Chlaenius (Epomis) ismaeli n. sp. from Luzon are described. One new synonymy is proposed: C. (Amblygenius) touzalini Andrewes, 1920 = C. (A.) cebuensis Kirschenhofer, 2008 syn. n. New distribution data and country records are provided: C. (Epomis) nigricans Wiedemann, 1821 and C. (Lissauchenius) maculiger Castelnau, 1867 are mentioned for the first time for the Philippines, and C. (Lissauchenius) flaviguttatus (W.S. Macleay, 1825) first record for Mindanao and Palawan. Chlaenius surigaensis Jedlicka, 1935 up to now regarded as a synonym of C. tetragonoderus Chaudoir, 1876 is synonym of C. (Lissauchenius) maculiger Castelnau, 1867.

The species status of Brachinus (Brachinoaptinus) tashkenticus Kirschenhofer, 1986 is restored . A differential diagnosis with related species is proposed. The taxonomic status and the type locality of B. (Brachinoaptinus) aktashiensis Kirschenhofer, 1986 are discussed. Photographs of habitus are given for all the three taxa of this group and the endophallus structure is studied and illustrated for the first time for two of them.

Longhorn beetles (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) of Ossa massif, Greece

The paper presents and summarizes data on the distribution of longhorn beetles on Mount Ossa in Eastern Thessaly, Greece. Observations are the result of numerous expeditions carried out within years 1999-2024 with various intensity. The paper comprises data on 158 species which reflects 33% of Greek Cerambycidae fauna including subspecies. In-depth literature review was conducted and published data was herein included. Remarks on interesting and rare species are provided with detailed collecting data. Habitus of selected species is presented. 126 taxons are recorded for the massif of Ossa for the first time. The total number of recorded long-horned beetle species indicates the high degree of ecological and environmental preservation of Mount Ossa.

In this paper, new faunistic data of one hundred nineteen (119) species belonging to fifty-four (54) genera under nineteen (19) tribes from the subfamilies cerambycinae and lamiinae (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) from the Philippines is presented. Fourteen (14) species were documented for the first time after description, of sixteen (16) species were recorded for the first time in various islands in the Philippines: Babuyan Isl., Luzon Isl., Marinduque Isl., Mindoro Isl., Palawan Isl., Samar Isl., Panay Isl., Leyte Isl., Negros Isl., and Mindanao Isl., and two new species Pheliphara sabahensis Huedepohl, 1995 and Niphona (Niphona) plagifera (Aurivillius, 1924) were added to the Philippine fauna.

A new extinct monotypic genus of Ptinidae, Carstenium kensbargense gen. et sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on an inclusion in Baltic amber. The new taxon from a northern European Paleogene forest is compared with extant and extinct genera of the subfamily Eucradinae.

A new species, Asiodonus chaunriensis Legalov, sp. nov. from Uttarakhand (North India), is described and illustrated. The new species is similar to Asiodonus solidus (Petri, 1901) but differs in the prosternum with strong postocular lobes, relatively straight sides of the pronotum, and a mesosternal process that is not produced anteriorly. This is the southernmost find of the Asiodonus Legalov, 2010 and the first record of the genus in India.

A new species, Sphinxis yunnanicus Legalov, sp. nov. from Yunnan (China) is described and illustrated. The new species is closely related to Sphinxis uniformis Kojima et Morimoto, 2000, but differs in that the rostrum is longer than the pronotum, the elytra are narrower towards the apex, the mesosternal process is distinctly broader than the coxa, and the integument is thinly covered with greyish to dark setae. This is the first record of this genus from mainland China.

The paper provides new information about the distribution of Metopides nivosus (White, 1858) in Pakistan. The results of the study show that this species is more widely distributed in Pakistan than previously thought. New faunistic data presents material near the border of Afghanistan. It can be assumed that the distribution of the species is wider in Asia and it potentially can be found in Afghanistan.

We have studied 16 species of Chrysomelidae with distribution notes. Seven species were recorded for the first time in the country. These species encompass four subfamilies: Alticinae, Chrysomelinae, Cryptocephalinae, and Galerucinae. The list includes eight species, four subspecies, and three at the genus level: Entomoscelis adonidis; Gastrophysa polygoni polygoni Linnaeus, 1758; Clytra (Clytraria) afghanica Reineck, 1937; Clytrasoma conformis, Lacordaire, 1848; Clytrasoma palliata Fabricius, 1801; Madurasia undulatovittata (Motschulsky, 1866); Monolepta sexlineata Chujo, 1938; Hermaephaga (Orthocrepis) ruficollis (Lucas, 1847); Nonarthra variabilis Baly, 1862; Chrysolina caerulans bella Jacoby, 1890; Clytra atraphaxidis atraphaxidis (Pallas, 1773); Miochira signaticollis signaticollis (Kollar & L. Redtenbacher, 1844); Theone octocostata cf. woehrli; Chrysolina (Bittotaenia) cf. mellyi (Stal, 1857); and Diapromorpha cf. turcica Fabricius, 1801. Seven species and four subspecies have been recorded for the first time, while three subspecies are closely related. The other three species are interesting with their new distribution.

Two flightless weevils from the genus Metapocyrtus Heller, 1912 namely Metapocyrtus (Orthocyrtus) managusan Cabras, Agbas and Obrial, sp. nov. and Metapocyrtus sidlakan Cabras, Agbas and Obrial, sp. nov. are described and illustrated from Mt. Candalaga, Davao de Oro. Additional ecological and mimicry notes with other sympatric weevils are also provided.

This paper presents Tsounkranaglenea cabrasae sp. nov., a new species of Saperdini from Mt. Candalaga Range in Maragusan, Davao de Oro Philippines. The new species has a peculiar short, recurved rake-like sternite VII and a unique form of aedeagus making the species distinct from its congeners. High-definition images of species habitus, male terminalia, and genitalia are also provided.
