Description of a new genus Katkaenus gen. nov. (Coleoptera: Dermestidae: Attageninae) from South India

Katkaenus spectaculus gen. nov. et sp. nov. is described, illustrated and compared with all known oriental genera belonging to the tribe Attagenini. The new genus differs from other known genera by structure of the antennae and antennal cavities.
