Abstract
We introduce an integrated initiative BaltColNet to compare landscape changes related to human activities on a Baltic See Scale, using Coleoptera inhabiting all kinds of forest. Coleoptera specimens will be collected using a method adequate to their habitat. The epigeic fauna individuals will be captured vvithuse of Barber's type cylinder traps. The cambio- and xylophagous insects will be collected directly from beneath the bark of dead trees. The results of observations and studies conducted within the Program and representing particular regions of fauna collection will be collected and published as a team paper, printed and published under the auspices of BIC. One of main our objectives is establishing and improving an international research team able to cope with future joint international and trans-border research projects on the condition of the region's natural environment and to carry out relevant analyses.
