Occurrence of Coleoptera species on riverside willows (Salicetum triandro-viminalis) in south-eastern Poland

This paper presents the results of observations of Coleoptera species on willows forming the Salicetum triandro-viminalis plant association. Except for Crepidodera aurata, none of the known Salix cordata "Americana" Hort. phytophages occurred on riverside willows in significant quantities. It may therefore be assumed that this plant association does not constitute a reservoir for pests of S. americana and, consequently, the neighbourhood of riverside willows threatens basket willow crops only marginally, if at all.
