Contributions to the knowledge of ground beetles genusNotiophilus Dumeril, 1806 (Coleoptera: Carabidae) of the world fauna. A review of the fauna of Madeira Archipelago.

The article contains a review of species of the genus Notiophilus fauna on Madeira Archipelago and a comparison of this genus species' list on other Macaronesia archipelagos. Two species of this genus are registered on Madeira Archipelago: N. quadripunctatus Dejean and N. geminatus Dejean. The presence of N. geminatus Dejean on Madeira Archipelago is proved. N. quadripunctatus Dejean is registered for the first time for Canary Islands with concrete findings.
