Abstract
This paper gives an original methodological proposal of forest environment valorisation with use of zooindication. The valorisation tool are the indices of natural quality and species diversity assessing the quality of epigeic communities of Staphylinidae. Four indices have been utilised:

two of them describe the natural quality:

the Smolenski [Bc] index

the Smolenski [BRC] index

and two others describe species diversity:

the Shannon-Weaver [H'] index

the Szujecki index [Q].

The new proposed method is adequate to valorise all forest objects of the Polish Lowland both at the ecosystem level and landscape level. The graphical output of the method is a two-dimensional graph illustrating the SMFV model and the resulting three valorisation groups. The model has been constructed on the basis of forest ecosystems of Bialowieza Forest (BPF). This paper presents the construction of SMFV model, its interpretation and an example of its use for the valorisation of oligotrophic forest landscapes of North Poland.
